WHAT IS OUR CERTIFICATION RATING? We are extremely proud to be a 5-Star IDC Center awarded by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors.  

What does this achievement mean?  Quite simply that we offer the finest quality dive programs available, whether you are just starting on your diving adventure, or are an experienced diver seeking more fulfillment in you diving career.  

Since 1982, we have certified over 36,000 divers.  Our commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable program for divers is our first priority. We offer an incredible amount of diving programs for both local  residents and visitors.

 

WHY TAKE YOUR DIVE COURSE ON GUAM?  This is easy to answer.  First, compared to most areas the course prices are very, very competitive and in most cases much lower.  Second, and more importantly, the diving on Guam is very easy and you can begin your dive adventures without the necessity of heavy wetsuits and difficult entries and water conditions. Beginning Scuba (Open Water) courses are available in a wide variety of formats, from 3 day programs to our "standard" one and two week courses.  Our staff of Master and Open Water instructors teach at many location on Guam and at our Piti and Naval Station stores.

 

PADI eLearning

We are proud to be able to offer our students an online option for the academic portion of the PADI open water diver course. This option is called eLearning. To get more information just click on the Anytime, Anywhere button above.

The major benefit to the student diver is convenience! The student can progress at their own pace and schedule. Throughout the course MDA can monitor your progress and is available to answer any questions, via email, that arise during the course. Once the online academics have been completed the only thing left is diving!!!! The student will print out an academic completion form and bring into the dive shop. We will then arrange a course for the student to complete their
water work.

The water work portion can be completed in either a private course or in a group course. There is a $120 fee online to start the process. This fee is factored into the $204 total course cost to the student. Please contact us for more details about this program at instruction@mdaguam.com.

 

WHAT IS THE PRICE OF THE COURSE? The price of our Open Water course is only $169.00 for any of our regularly scheduled weekly courses, and these courses inlcude boat dives!  Prices for private, semi-private, and special schedules classes are higher and can certainly be arranged around your schedule, but please allow 3 days for the course.

WHAT OTHER COURSES DO WE OFFER?  We have an extremely wide range of beginning, advanced, specialty, and technical courses beginning with a "Discover Scuba" dive, through full Instructor Certification programs.

CAN YOU FINISH YOUR DIVE CLASS ON GUAM? We do these all the time.  Bring us your referral paperwork and we'll take it from there.

ARE YOU PREVIOUSLY CERTIFIED BUT "RUSTY"? We can put you in the care of one of our Divemasters or Instructors and get you comfortable very quickly.
